It’s time for a Junior Member Spotlight — Meet It’s time for a Junior Member Spotlight — Meet Parker Jones! Parker Jones began playing tennis at TCSP in 2015, at the age of four! His first coach was Mark Ball. Since then, Parker has continued to take tennis classes, including summer camps, and enjoys participating in the Junior Championship Tournament held at the club.  A couple of times a week, Parker is also involved in foil fencing at the Rain City Fencing Club in Redmond. He’s been working on his fencing skills for a few years now and has won a handful of medals in local and regional competitions. He loves fencing and the competition, but if you asked him today, he would tell you tennis is still his favorite sport! If you meet Parker, you might not notice that he has a limb differential, with only two fingers on his left hand. Because of this, his parents encouraged him to pursue sports where he could succeed despite this disability. When he was younger, he struggled with a single-handed backhand and tossing the ball for serves. Now that he has gotten a little bigger, he has better control and more consistency. Thanks to all his TCSP coaches through the years!   Parker is currently an eighth grader at Jane Addams Middle School. In addition to tennis and fencing, he plays the violin in his school orchestra and enjoys shaping dough and baking using the Ooni pizza oven. We thank amazing Juniors like Parker for being part of our strong TCSP community. Adverse Weather Conditions

In the event of winter conditions, please refer to this page for updates on operating hours, program clinics, lessons and League match play updates.

Travel Notices & Road Closures

  • Large hills such as NE 65th Street, NE 70th Street, NE 95th Street, could be closed due to icy conditions.
  • Sand Point Way NE is typically plowed and sanded.
  • Plan to allot extra time to travel to the club using Sand Point Way NE.

Inclement Weather Policy

TCSP’s Adverse Weather Policy regarding winter conditions is as follows:

  1. TCSP will operate per normal operating hours and schedules even in event of snow, ice, or other stormy conditions.
  2. TCSP will not close based on local school closures.
  3. TCSP members are still required to cancel court reservations per the court cancellation policies if they feel they would not be able to travel safely. Given forecasts typically advise of winter conditions 3-5 days in advance, there should be adequate time to cancel if necessary. There will be no credits issued or make-ups awarded for missed classes.
  4. TCSP encourages members to call the club for the latest information, especially early morning classes.
  5. If conditions cause the facility to close while operating,:
    • Advance court reservations will be notified via email and/or phone and will not be charged for that day’s court reservation if unused.
    • Canceled programs will be credited to each player’s account for that day.
    • If the facility still has power, TCSP will wait for players to complete in-progress court times and programs and then close for the remainder of the day. Should you choose to leave a lesson or court early, no credit will be issued.
    • In the event of a power outage, players will not be permitted to continue play.
      1. If programs and court reservations are less than halfway completed, a credit equal to 50% of the class/program fee will be issued.
      2. If programs and court reservations are more than halfway completed, no credit will be issued.
