USTA Teams

TCSP is a proud host of the United States Tennis Association, “USTA”, for local, competitive tennis. The USTA league includes teams of women, men and mixed teams in all divisions. It is the country’s largest host of recreational team tennis leagues and allows tennis players of all ages and abilities to compete at local, regional, and national levels. Below are TCSP’s USTA Team policies if you are considering playing on a USTA team out of Tennis Center Sand Point.

Yes, all team rosters must be comprised solely of TCSP members with active credit cards on file. In the event of a non-TCSP member participating in a match or practice, the team captain may be billed their membership, match, and practice fees. Teams are also required to have 75% of their roster be players that are exclusively on their team. Failure to maintain this percentage may result in being excluded from future lotteries to play out of TCSP.

Seattle Area Cup Tennis (known as Cup) is a ladies-only, daytime league. The USTA league is nationwide and has male and female leagues both during the weekend and daytime for all age groups.

As the captain of a team based out of TCSP, all of your members will be TCSP members. Therefore, you can fill out the following form and the match fee will be divided amongst all the players. Payment Form

Current USTA match fees are $20 per player for most leagues.

Practices fees are $360 per practice divided up amongst the players on the practice roster/ Practices fees are billed at the start of the season and are non-refundable.

Being a captain is a lot of fun, but it is also a heavy responsibility. Review the USTA captain’s guide for a better understanding of the duties of a captain. 

In addition to the responsibilities outlined by USTA, captains for teams based out of TCSP are responsible for any fees incurred by the team, which includes unpaid practice and match fees, as well as making sure all the players on their team are in good standing with USTA and have the appropriate rating for their division.

TCSP Teams Must Be Registered Members

All players on a TCSP team must be a TCSP member.

TCSP Team Application

Team applications must be submitted to teams@tenniscentersandpoint.com by the appropriate deadline for team consideration. After the deadline, teams will be subject to a lottery for a space at TCSP. All players listed on applications must be TCSP members.
