Whether you’re chasing down a drop shot, powering through a rally, or just trying to recover between matches, tennis demands more than just racquet skills.
TCSP’s new Tennis-Based Fitness Program helps players move better, hit harder, and stay injury-free with 60 minute off-court strength training classes using weights, kettlebells, medicine balls, plyometrics, power lifts, and footwork drills. All levels welcome. Located in the North Building Ball Machine Lane.

Drop-ins begin 9/22, 4-week session begin 9/29. $20 Drop-ins, $75 full session. Standard withdrawal policies apply.

FAQs
Do I need experience with weights?
Not at all! We’ll teach you proper form and safe progressions.
What should I bring?
Water bottle, cross-training shoes, and your best effort.
Is this just for advanced players?
Nope. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned competitor, if you play tennis you’ll benefit.
Do I need to sign up ahead of time?
Yes. Both recurring and drop-in options are available. Register through the TCSP website under Programs → Tennis-Based Fitness.
- Recurring Class – Reserve a consistent weekly spot so training becomes part of your routine.
- Drop-In – Sign up for any listed session when it fits your schedule.
- Custom Small Group – Build your own training pod! Choose a time that works for you and bring 2–4 friends.

Molly Schmidt is an NSCA-CSCS and NASM-CPT with over 20 years in fitness. She believes everyone can train like an athlete and move better, hit harder, and stay in the game longer, because fitness equals more fun on the court.
