Meet Nora Bhatraju – Age 7 (almost 8 years old) Red Ball 3.0 Player!
Favorite part of tennis: Hitting balls!
If you could play doubles with any tennis player, who would it be and where would you play?
Nora’s dream doubles partner is none other than the legendary Serena Williams. They would play their match at the US Open in New York. As for their outfits? Just simple shorts and t-shirts for a laid-back vibe.
When you’re not playing tennis, what do you enjoy doing?
Nora stays busy with soccer, swimming, and piano! She plays for the Celtic soccer team and is a budding pianist. Though she doesn’t compete in swim meets or do recitals just yet, she’s excited about all of her activities.
Favorite food:
If Nora could eat anything in the world, it would be butter chicken – a classic Indian dish she loves.
Do you have any siblings?
Nora has one older sister (Isabel), and a dog named Rocket. Her sister plays tennis too, and they enjoy hitting the courts together. Nora’s dad is also a tennis player, and they have a great time playing together as well!
Coach Chad describes Nora as the embodiment of a natural leader, both on and off the court. Her infectious energy and seamless progression through different levels of training are truly impressive. After mastering the basics in Red Ball 1.0, she quickly advanced to the 3.0 class. Her eagerness to learn, adaptability, and strong coach-ability stand out. But it’s not just her own growth that shines – Nora’s competitive spirit and leadership elevate the performance of her peers, inspiring them to give their best. She’s undeniably a standout player.
TCSP is incredibly fortunate to have such an inspiring, positive junior player like Nora on our courts. Her enthusiasm, leadership, and love for the game make her a true role model for her peers.
