Summer is really the best opportunity for juniors to make big improvements on their tennis games. We all have a blast and the coaches really care about the kids!

When TCSP opened their doors in 2013, Francisca was one of our first members. “I love the mental challenge of the game – I am a thinker and love to figure out my opponents! I can’t watch a game without analyzing it” At 71 years young, she loves to play hard hitting opponents… she just lets them use up all their energy and waits calmly for the opportunity to simply put the ball away and win the point.

One of her secret ingredients seems to be her weekly ball machine time where she focuses on refining her strokes, placement of the ball, and timing. It has made her more consistent on the court, making fewer errors and more confidence. This dedication and a long running weekly round with dear friends Judy and Lois (and a fourth who is lucky enough to get an invitation to join them that week) seems to be the magic that keeps this petite competitor in great shape – body and mind! The staff at TCSP is always glad to greet her!

Francisca and her husband retired this March from their work as a Medical Technology Scientist and Environmental Physicist and are currently enjoying a consulting practice; Lehr Science LLC. Francisca tells us she intends to play for many years to come. We are very happy to have her playing with us and her competitive spirit is an inspiration for all.
