Kate is a native of Indianapolis and a USPTA certified teaching professional. Kate has been teaching and coaching since 1992. She competed in the NCAA Tennis Division I at the University of Delaware, where she played #1 singles and doubles for four consecutive years and was named both MVP and team captain two of her four years.

Kate spent 8 years teaching at the Indianapolis Racquet Club, a 32-court facility, where she directed the summer junior program which included over 200 students. She received television and media recognition for her outstanding influence on local youth. She also headed up an outreach program for the surrounding Indianapolis neighborhoods. Kate was the club’s summer director for three years, then moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2000.

Since living in Seattle, she has taught at the Edgebrook Club in Bellevue, the Mercer Island Country Club (as the Jr. Tennis Director), the Bellevue Club and the Mercer Island Beach Club (with her husband Jamie). The husband/wife duo have twice earned their way to the USTA National Open Mixed Doubles tournament. They are happy parents of 4-year old son, Eli, and 1-year old son Noah. Eli’s first word was “ball”!!
