Tennis Clinics

For 3.0 Players

Serve & Return Clinics 3.0

Serve & Return Clinics spend a great deal of time helping players with the fundamentals of the service motion, understanding the kinetic chain from the ground through the contact point, toss mechanics and placement of the serve. 3.0 Players will learn to place their slice serves and differentiate the flat serve for 1st and 2nd serves. Players will learn to incorporate knee bends and jump into their serves.
The Clinic will also focus on the 2nd most important shot in tennis – The Return! Players will learn to return effectively and handle various speeds and spins as well as location of returns that help set up points whether doubles or singles.

Price for 6-week Summer Session:  $165 + tax

Clinic 3.0

3.0 Clinics are group lessons that focus heavily on stroke mechanics, rallying skills and net play. Players will spend time on their swing shape, contact points, footwork patterns as well as learning to hit with directional and depth control at a medium pace. Rallying with peers a minimum of 8-10 times per ball is the goal to allow players to continue on in Tactical Clinics and play competitively.
Net Play will consist of volley technique as well as tracking at the net and movement patterns to help ensure success with clean contact. Clinics will spend roughly 60% of the time on the baseline and 40% of the time on net play.

Tactics 3.0 Doubles

Tactics Doubles is designed to put you in doubles match play situations and give you the tools needed to compete.  3.0 Players are expected to be able to rally a minimum of 8-10 balls with directional control at a medium pace to take this class. Learn doubles strategy, positioning, movement, high-percentage vs. low-percentage shots, how to beat various playing styles, and more!!

Price for 6-week Summer Session:  $165 + tax

 

 

Tactics 3.0 Singles

Tactics Singles is designed to put you in singles match play situations and give you the tools needed to compete.  3.0 Players are expected to rally a minimum of 8-10 balls with directional control at a medium pace to take this class. Learn singles strategy, positioning, movement, high-percentage vs. low-percentage shots, how to beat various playing styles, and more!!

Ball Machine Clinic

Ball Machine Clinics focus very heavily on groundstrokes and are designed to help define the shape of your swing as well as work on footwork patterns. Learn to hit defensively and offensively while incorporating both topspin and slice on your FH and BH. Learn to use the Continental grip effectively for lobs, drop shots and drives for versatility.

Price for 6-week Summer Session:  $125 + tax

Price for 1 drop-in class:   $27.50 + tax

 

 

Senior Drill & Play

Players over the age of 65 will find this class a nice balance of instructional drills and light point play. Work on your groundstrokes, volleys, and serves with TCSP staff, and then put those to work in fun point play drills and test if you’ve mastered the theme of the day!

Tennis Workout Classes

For 3.0 Players

Cardio Tennis

Cardio Tennis is a high-energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise; delivering the ultimate, full-body, calorie-burning, aerobic workout. Drills and circuits get the maximum out of players without the competitive pressure of playing against peers. This is about the individual workout, while bonding and making new playing partners for life!

Players should expect to run and sweat for at least 75% of the 75 minute class. Players must notify instructors of any health issues before starting the class and, if necessary, provide a doctor’s note regarding physical activity limitations.

Cardio Tennis Schedule

Live Ball Drop-In

Live Ball is a competitive tennis class that checks all the boxes: Fitness. Fun. Action. Camaraderie. It’s an approach to tennis where instruction takes a backseat to fitness, servers and returners are replaced by champions and challengers, and hushed tones and handshakes are trumped by trash talk and fist-bumps. Live Ball is all about the moment. It’s about enjoying a sport that we all have a passion for.

Price for 1 drop-in class:  $ 25 + tax

This is a drop-in only class. Class is open to the first 16 people who come into the center and sign-up (in-person registrations only). Sign-ups open 30 minutes before class start time.

Wimbledon Workout

Given the frenzied, workout-obsessed world we live in, it was only a matter of time before tennis came along for the ride. Perfect for players who want to improve their match play, it’s 75 minutes of high-intensity drilling, situational playing and coaching, along with some conditioning. But you won’t even know you’re working out because of all the fun!

Players must notify instructors of any health issues before starting the class and, if necessary, provide a doctor’s note regarding physical activity limitations.
